Abdulla Bin Damithan manages DP World’s portfolio in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region including Ports and Terminals, Economic Zones, Marine Services, Logistics and Trade Solutions.
Appointed in July 2023 to oversee the region, Abdulla previously held the position of CEO & Managing Director of DP World UAE.
Abdulla leads the company’s business strategies in key GCC markets, including the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His focus is on delivering end-to-end solutions for cargo owners, building world-class trade infrastructure across ports, terminals and free zones, and driving greater supply chain efficiency, transparency, resilience and sustainability.
In the UAE, Abdulla leads DP World’s Jebel Ali Port, ranked among the largest container ports in the world, and Jafza, the company’s flagship free zone and an essential part of the company’s integrated regional business model. This port connects over 180 shipping lines to more than 3.5 billion consumers while Jafza is home to more than 9,500 businesses.
Additionally, Abdulla oversees DP World’s Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia, a facility handling over 4.5 million TEUs annually, accounting for nearly 60% of the Kingdom’s sea imports. Abdulla guides DP World’s investment in improving terminal infrastructure at Jeddah Islamic Port, focusing on operational performance and port trade volume.
Abdulla joined DP World in 2001 and has been an integral part of the company’s transformation from a port operator to a global smart trade enabler.
During his two-decade tenure, Abdulla has held various senior leadership roles including Chief Commercial Officer of DP World UAE, where he managed revenue generation and oversaw service delivery across key business segments from Ports & Terminals to Trade Enablement.
A recognised leader in the maritime and logistics space within the Middle East, Abdulla serves on the boards of multiple DP World ports and terminals.

Abdulla Al Hashmi completed his Bachelors in Financial Services from the Higher Colleges of Technology with Honours and is a certified trade and logistic professional. He began his career with DP World in 2010 and progressed through various roles like Assistant Manager, Business Development, Deputy Director Business Development, Dubai Traders Market and Senior Manager, Business Development & Corporate Finance, leading business development, global opportunities research, acquisitions, mergers, and project development activities.
In 2020, Al Hashmi was appointed as the Head of Business Intelligence division of DP World UAE to further strengthen DP World’s data-driven initiatives and ventures for continual growth and progress. During the pandemic, he played a vital role in supporting and sustaining DP World UAE’s resilient supply chain model with an integrated dashboard that presented accurate indicators for the organization to enable trade with optimum efficiency and minimum disruption.

With more than 28 years of experience in managing projects as well as developing and setting up operations, Mr. Ahmed ALHammadi, COO of Dubai Maritime City is leading the development of commercial and industrial precinct with focus on the implementation of Dubai Maritime City infrastructure.
Mr. Hammadi role consist also of managing the communication with the sub-developers and the Master Plan update and progress.
Previous to this appointment Mr. Hammadi held the positions of Group Client Relation & strategy Director and UAE Operations Director within P&O Maritime.
His board knowledge and experience gained prior to join the MSD Group while employed with Dubai Taxi Corporation, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Municipality, added a tremendous value to the organization.

Muhammad Ibrahim is the VP Sales & Property Management, with the responsibility for the property management, leasing, brokerage, facility management of more than 26 million square feet of industrial and commercial space across Dubai Maritime City.
He has over 13 years of commercial property management experience with previous employers including Dubai Properties and Nakheel Asset Management. He has hands-on experience of managing the day-to-day operations of 24,000 units in the leasing & freehold sector spread across Dubai encompassing Residential, Commercial, Retail and Staff Accommodation.
Muhammad received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The International University of Missouri in 2000.

Syed Muzammil is the VP Finance & Corporate Services, responsible for the entire finance function of Dubai Maritime City. Muzammil is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in finance and audit functions. Muzammil has been associated with Dubai World Group for more than 12 years, prior to which he has worked with Ernst & Young Dubai.
Over the tenure of his professional career, Muzammil has been involved in implementing financial controls; preparation of policy and procedure manuals; managing budgets and cash flows; implementing financial systems; and working on due diligence assignments, financial feasibilities and valuation reports.
